This forum brings together representatives from industry, government, and academia to discuss forward-looking strategies that ensure both patient safety and the stability of anesthesia care services. The session will be chaired by Director Shu-Feng Tsai, Department of Nursing and Healthcare, Ministry of Health and Welfare. The keynote presentation will be delivered by Dr. Hui-Ju Yang, President of the Taiwan Association of Nurse Anesthetists, with panel discussions featuring Dr. Ning-Wei Chu, Chair of the Anesthesia Nursing Training Committee, Taiwan Society of Anesthesiologists, and Dr. Hsiang Su, Committee Member. The discussion will focus on three key topics: Workforce planning and retention strategies for nurse anesthetists Clinical competence of nurse anesthetists and anesthesia safety Effectiveness and improvement of the national standardized education and certification system Through cross-sector dialogue and professional exchange, this forum aims to build consensus and establish a concrete roadmap for the sustainable development of Taiwan’s nurse anesthetist system, ultimately strengthening anesthesia care quality and ensuring patient safety.
